Rangeland and Watershed Management Group

About us

The Rangeland and Watershed Management Group at the faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources works mainly on integrated watershed management (IWM) and modelling natural ecosystems. Our activities are a multi-disciplinary approach to studying natural resources problems. The main research areas are focus on the field of:

  • Rangeland management, inventory and monitoring
  • Integrated watershed management
  • Natural hazards, e.g. climate change, flood, erosion and fire
  • Modelling natural ecosystems in relation to socioeconomic, human and environmental driving forces
  • Biodiversity in relation to management and environmental factors
  • Using Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for detecting and simulating land use/cover changes, biodiversity assessment and water resources management
